[Today] Kindness at a remote car park

My wife, our infant and I were waiting for a taxi at Changi Beach Car Park 6 at around 10pm last Friday, when our attempts to book a taxi were unsuccessful due to the location and time.

While waiting to hail a taxi, a gentleman by the name of John came up to us and offered us a lift, for the sake of my four-month-old son.

I was hesitant to trouble him at that time, but it turned out to be a great help, given the circumstances and difficulty in finding a taxi.

John and his wife, Ruth, are examples of kindness in our society and a reminder that despite our busy schedules in Singapore, there are kind people around us.

Hats off to John and Ruth; I thank them for the ride home.
