I AGREE wholeheartedly with Madam Chang Choon Kheng ("Gratitude an important virtue"; last Saturday).
We should be grateful to former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, and express our gratitude for what he has done for this country.
To honour him and remember his legacy, I suggest we bestow the honorary title, "Bapa Singapura" (or "Father of Singapore"), on this great statesman.
Singaporeans, the media and school textbooks should address him as "Bapa Singapura" whenever we refer to him.
