RECREATIONAL fishing in Singapore seems to have become more restrictive ("Hooked: More illegal fishermen"; Tuesday).
Fishing has been my hobby since I was a child growing up in the 1960s. In those days, we could fish freely all over Singapore.
But that is not the case any more. Almost all coastal areas have "no fishing" signs.
I agree that we should fish responsibly and I hope the authorities will review recreational fishing restrictions, so that more of us can enjoy this hobby.
