MUCH has been said about the death of former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew bringing about national unity.
People are also concerned about the future of Singapore in his absence.
The orderly manner in which people queued outside Parliament House to pay their last respects to Mr Lee can evolve to improve other aspects of Singaporeans' daily lives.
One area is the practice of people reserving seats with tissue packets and name cards while they queue for food.
By so doing, the seats are not being put to optimal use.
People should also clear their dishes and leftovers from the table for the next user. By so doing, the turnaround time at food centres will be reduced.
Singaporeans, as a whole, should step up and do more of what is right, out of consideration for others.
In the absence of Mr Lee, we should develop a collective Singapore strength to support our leaders, so that Singapore will continue to thrive for many generations to come.
