[Today] Better value can rein in e-shopping bug

Goods here are overpriced, and I guess that high rental and labour costs have resulted in our high cost of living.

We still go to a shopping centre to physically see and feel a product, after which quite a number of us would wait for a sale or get it online. This is now a fact of life; hence, online retailers are cashing in on the market.

Consumers want to get only the best value. Besides the cost, value can include great front-line service, a longer warranty and even a pleasant experience in the shop.

These are better than some fancy mobile app or shallow, half-hearted marketing efforts. Until we see more of the above, the migration towards online retailers will continue.
