[Today] Is it wise to use Temasek’s expected earnings for govt revenue?

I am a bit uneasy at the prospect of the Government using Temasek Holdings’ income based on expected earnings because of increased expenditures. Is this a wise move? (“Temasek’s expected earnings to be added to govt revenue”; Feb 24)

Would this not dull Temasek’s ability to expand its operations and, in turn, the ability to create a bigger wealth buffer for Singapore in times of need in future? Singapore’s future is my main concern. Is there any other way to save or move resources to fill the fiscal gap? And how sustainable are the programmes the Government will be implementing?
