I FIRST STARTED WRITING TO THE FORUM PAGE IN...: 1979, when I was a student.
WHAT I WRITE ABOUT: I write on almost any topic - public transport, infrastructure, the property market, education, employment, housing and social issues.
WHY I WRITE: I write to highlight issues which may affect Singaporeans and to propose alternatives, so that the authorities can look at things from the ground up.
I READ THE FORUM PAGE BECAUSE...: It allows me to see how Singaporeans react to different social issues and government policies.
MY WISH FOR SINGAPORE: I wish Singapore will continue to prosper, and Singaporeans will be more civic-minded, gracious and tolerant towards fellow Singaporeans, permanent residents and foreigners.
I also wish married Singaporean couples will focus on having more children rather than chasing their careers, cars and condominiums.
